Schlepping to your doctor’s office for a sick note is bothersome at best, and borderline impossible when you feel as though you’re on your deathbed. So Singaporeans will be happy to hear that local healthcare start-up MyDoc recently released a feature that lets employees apply for a medical certificate online (the patient has a video consultation with a doctor, who can then issue their sick note straight away). The service is aimed at companies, rather than at individuals, so employers can track its usage for each employee. Once it’s been rolled out across Singapore, MyDoc will look to launch in other markets.
Schlep to the doctor's? No, thanks.
