New French Tech Visa Woos Foreign Talent and Their Families

France is hungry for new blood.

Three macarons in each of the French flag's coloursWhile other countries are tightening up their immigration policies, French President Emmanuel Macron has been flaunting France’s new tech visa in an effort to galvanise the nation’s startup scene. The visa, ‘a simplified, fast-track procedure’ for tech talent to obtain a residence permit, makes it easier for growing upstarts to bring in foreign talent, and for entrepreneurs to launch their businesses in France. The visa is open to start-up founders, employees and investors and it allows successful candidates to live and work in France for a full four years – and, better still, they can bring the family along, with the visa extended to nearest and dearests.
