On May 24, in the moody ambience of Saké Restaurant, perched in Sydney’s The Rocks, Collective Hub partnered with Lexus Australia to hold our Start-Up Package winner’s lunch. Hosted by our founder and editor-in-chief Lisa Messenger and Lexus Australia’s Adrian Weimers, the lunch was the culmination of our nationwide search to track down some of Australia’s most promising start-ups. And what did we find? A huge number of engaged, dedicated and tenacious founders, who made it nearly impossible to narrow down the list.
The afternoon began with vivacious conversation – and bubbly, of course – with winners discussing their business journey to date, the ebbs, the flows, and everything in between. Participants also swapped the pearls of wisdom that they each received during one-on-one mentoring sessions with Lisa, while munching on Japanese-inspired cuisine, including soy- and lime-drenched kingfish and beef tataki.
Also in attendance was Analise Gatellaro of Collective Hub and Monia Montefuso of The Media Store. Not to mention our talented winners:
Mary Hoang | The Indigo Project
Peta Purcell | Mother and Joey
Rebel Black | The Rural Woman
Amy Parfett and Melany Mashman | Wedshed
Katie De Rooy and Josh Baird | The Change Box
Felicity Cooney | Felicity Cooney shoes
Stephanie Gabriel | Ocean Zen Bikini
Scott Liston | Articfit
Genevieve Le Hunt | Bake Mixes
Sarah Dean | Emineo Hub
