Lisa Messenger, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Collective Hub, and Sally Muller
Far from the creative melting pot of Sydney’s Surry Hills, Lisa Messenger’s mother Sally Muller lives on an avocado farm in the countryside of Bangalow, in northern New South Wales. While their geographic locations can seem worlds apart, the two women are obviously linked by laughter, calling each other spontaneous and cheeky. Both live full lives and keep their bonding time uncomplicated: “It’s the simple things – the dog walks, being in nature, having the ‘moments’,” says Lisa. Being a country kid, Lisa spent her childhood days riding horses and motorbikes near the local creek, and Sally has been a strong pillar in her life, with her wisdom helping shape the trajectory of her career. “One piece of advice my mum has given me that will stay with me forever is just to stay grounded and remember where we came from,” says Lisa.
