To celebrate a massive year in the life of the Collective Hub community, we recently opened the doors of our new Sydney rooftop office for a night of festive fun.
The party started outside with cool vibes, cruisey ballads and a bright blue sky before a thunderstorm broke at about 9pm, forcing everyone to race inside. So, the lights went off and the DJ started!
“It’s been a huge year for us with incredible growth and global traction, our team has almost doubled and we’ve had lots of new challenges to overcome,” said our CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Lisa Messenger. “It seems to be a similar story from friends and business partners – 2016 has been big! So I think we were all ready to celebrate together, let our hair down a bit, have a few laughs and then hit the dance floor. The rain just added to the memories – there’s nothing like seeing party guests race inside with a box of bread sticks or with a slab of cheese under their arm – just adds to the community spirit.”
The room comprised of brand partners, thought leaders, CEOs, musicians, stylists, photographers… you name it. Also in attendance were our closest friends, family and supporters since the very early days of Collective Hub.
“I am still completely overwhelmed at the size and spirit of our community – it’s full of creative, clever, innovative, open-minded, action-orientated, generous souls who have one very important thing in common – they want to live a rich, fulfilling, inspired life – and I love that we are all get to do it together.”
Special thanks to everyone who made it (we know how ridiculously busy this time of the year is) and to those who missed out, we look forward to catching up in 2017. Huge thanks also to Gallivant for the catering (incredible), Campari and Capi for the bottomless supply of Aperol Spritz (so summery, so perfect), Signor Vino for their delicious wines (boutique and beautiful), The Wilds styling (such a fun, tropical vibe), DJ Nickles and Dimes (you held that party together though that storm!) and Brittany and Aaron for those sultry notes early on.

We also called the night a “partnership party” instead of a Christmas one. Want to know why? Our CEO recently wrote all about it.
