Alexa Chung is not one to shy away from a cool collab. The British model, presenter, author and all round it-girl counts Eyeko, Nails Inc. and Madewell amongst her portfolio of past collaboraters, but it was when she joined forces with denim label AG that it became pretty clear that everything Alexa touches turns into gold as far as consumers are concerned. A whole host of pieces from her first Alexa Chung for AG collection sold out fast earlier this year (we’re talking hit-refresh-and-it’s-gone fast) and we predict her second capsule collection, which hits David Jones and select boutiques across Australia and New Zealand today, will trigger another frenzy.
It just goes to show that a collaboration that nails that delicate formula, where the partnership seems effortless, can see both brands come out on top.
While Alexa’s first collection was all about filling the gaps in “an essential denim wardrobe” this time around the designs are more exploratory – think graphic tees, french-terry sweatshirts, button up A-line skirts and a denim playsuit you never knew you needed until now.
