In the contemporary cool space of South Melbourne’s Smart Artz Gallery on Thursday 9th February, we held our From Practice to Purpose breakfast, in partnership with the ever-innovative lululemon, to both celebrate entrepreneurs and visionaries, as well as give our guests the chance to follow in their footsteps, with lived advice on vision and goal setting to help them reach milestones of their own.
Hosted by lawyer-turned-‘funpreneur’ Sarah Holloway from Matcha Maiden, Matcha Mylkbar and Spoonful of Sarah, the morning opened with a mediation led by A-Space founder Manoj Dias, followed by our line-up of encouraging speakers. The first word was from Angie Greene, CEO of Start Up Events, who told the story of her own business dreams and how the bigger vision of marriage equality drives everything she does. We were also treated to an open, honest discussion of how Manoj’s own experience of anxiety was the catalyst for the entrepreneur to leave his office job, take up yoga and meditation, eventually leading him to launch his own business.
Delicious catering was provided by Matcha Mylkbar, with our guests sufficiently caffeinated by Sprout Coffee and styling and pot plants provided by Annie Ledley from Francis Floristry, who also supplied pot plant gifts to match our gift bags of a Onne Beauty Moisturising Mask, the latest issue of Collective Hub magazine and a 2017 diary as well as a lululemon gift card. The day was carefully captured by photographer Jason Edwards.
