Rootstock at Carriageworks, Sydney

Time to get the tastebuds ready.

Foodies and winos assemble: Rootstock Sydney, a not-for-profit organisation, is holding their much-anticipated Rootstock Sydney event, which celebrates food that’s sustainably farmed and wine that includes little or no additions.

Featuring a two-day wine festival where visitors can meet and greet with artisan winemakers, with over 200 different drops to taste, visitors will get a personal (and palette-focused) insight into the delicious, carefully produced wines and their makers. There’s also the opportunity to get stuck into a number of the tempting food stalls dotted around the venue serving up everything from aged cheeses, wild oysters and pizza made from fermented sour dough, as well as night parties with Georgian winemakers (the forefathers of the world’s known wine culture) as well as a stunning slow roast celebration of Australian produce as diverse as kangaroo tails and stings rays.

Rootstock will be held at Sydney’s Carriageworks (245 Wilson St, Eveleigh) on November 26th and 27th.
