‘Twas the night before the AACTA Awards…

Hosted by filmmaker Laurence Malkin (Death at a Funeral, Kill Me Three Times) alongside Film Victoria CEO Jenni Tosi and Collective Hub’s Editor-in-Chief, Lisa Messenger, the annual Night Before The AACTA Awards bash celebrated a colossally successful year in Australian film.

Tinseltown treasure, actor and filmmaker Joel Edgerton (The Great Gatsby, The Gift) clinked glasses with fellow Aussie contemporaries – including Best Direction AACTA nominees Jeremy Sims (Last Cab to Darwin) and Neil Armfield (Holding the Man) and Expendables 3 director Patrick Hughes, fresh off the plane from LA; while actors Ryan Corr, Darren Gilshenan and Lynette Curran were also in full swing. Boasting panoramic views of Bondi beach, Sydney’s Icebergs put on one heck of an event that saw these and other industry greats partying well into the wee hours (despite a red carpet call thefollowing day).

Many thanks to The Solid State’s Danny Lachevre and Walter Bienz and to all in attendance for their company and support.
