Etsy & Plan International join forces in charitable creativity

In celebration of  United Nations’ International Day of the Girl, Etsy has launched #makeforgood where makers, designers and curators across Australia can use their creative talents to help create a better life for girls living in poverty.

Through partnering with Plan International Australia, a range of bespoke products – from one-of-a-kind jewellery to artwork, homewares and toys – will raise funds for Because I am a Girl, with at least 20 per cent of their sale price (plus Etsy’s commission) being donated to the cause.

Much like Collective Hub, Etsy‘s creative community is filled with people pursuing their passions and defining success in their own terms. But as their managing director for Australia and Asia, Helen Souness, highlights, “It’s not as easy for all women around the world to start their own business or transform their futures.”

She says, “Our mission is to re-imagine commerce in ways that build a more fulfilling and lasting world.”

The #makeforgood collection is available here from today – browse five of our favourite picks in the gallery above.
