Karen Walker Eyewear is this year celebrating 10 years of providing super stylish shade to eyeballs everywhere. While the eponymous label was born from humble beginnings selling t-shirts in Karen Walker’s hometown of New Zealand in 1989, the lucrative fashion brand now encompasses clothing, jewellery, homeware and eyewear lines sold worldwide.
Karen Walker’s particular brand of quirky shades, which lean towards the bigger, bolder, chunkier end of the sunglass spectrum, are now sold in 31 countries through partner Sunshades. They are also reported to be the most successful Sunshades brand on the market, whose other partners include Oroton, House of Holland, Jonathan Saunders, ksubi and sass + bide.
To mark this hugely successful milestone one classic from each of the last 10 years will be recreated for Karen’s latest collection, aptly titled Celebrate. All your favourite styles will be showing up to the party, including the ‘Annie’, who was debuted in 2005, as well as more recent styles, such as ‘Number One’, ‘Helter Skelter’ and ‘Super Duper Strength’.
